The Gorge Is Our Home
Caring for our community is an important part of Insitu’s culture.
In doing so, we recognize we are more than an employer. Our team is made up of neighbors, friends, family and volunteers who share this core value and act upon it every day. We do this by engaging within our community as volunteers. By serving in civic organizations such as Chambers of Commerce, Rotary, Education advisory, and STEM collaboration groups as well as non-profits. By being good stewards of the beautiful landscapes we call home. By promoting and supporting STEM education opportunities in our area to build a robust pipeline of talented employees into the next generation of Insitu innovation. By promoting a workforce united by diversity and empowered by a common mission.
We strive to build upon our presence in these ways and are constantly searching for new opportunities to help elevate the places we live and work. In doing so, it is our commitment to not only ensure Insitu grows sustainably, but that we as a company continue to engage with our communities to make certain that growth is felt in a positive way. We invite you to learn more about all that we are doing to make these things happen by exploring the following pages and reaching out to us directly at any time.
Thank you for being part of the Insitu story!
It’s been said there’s no place like home – and we wholeheartedly agree. The Gorge is your home and ours, so we’re all-in when it comes to helping make our local community a world-class place to live and work. Our business growth has taken us from garage to global, and so has our approach to community engagement and corporate social responsibility. Through purposeful investments, thoughtful advocacy, volunteerism and outreach, Insitu and its employees support innovative partnerships and programs to help build better, more remarkable communities in the Columbia River Gorge.
In 2022, Insitu collected 262 units of blood, with the potential to save 786 lives!
To find out how you can participate in the next Insitu blood drive, visit The Insitu Blood Drive Page. You will see a schedule of our upcoming events where you can donate a pint!
Insitu employees are happy to play Secret Santa for our annual Tree of Joy gift-giving campaign. Each year, Insitu has given a little holiday happiness to more than 125 families and the elderly in Hood River, Klickitat and Skamania Counties – and in the future, we hope to help even more. We also partner with Washington Gorge Action Programs (WAGAP) and Hood River County Christmas Project to make as much of a difference as possible for those in need.
Winter arrives early in the Gorge and every year, Insitu employees and volunteers collect warm coats, boots, and gloves for local children and others in need. We also partner with WAGAP for their annual Coats for Kids program.
Next to our work creating and supporting unmanned aircraft systems, the most rewarding thing we do is help inspire the next generation of innovators. Here’s an at-a-glance look at how we nurture young, local talent through science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education initiatives.
We strive to support a pipeline for full-circle education, building partnerships and creating proactive enthusiasm around STEM education in the spirit of building a strong community while bolstering talent for our industry.
