
Steve Morrow: President and CEO

Steve Morrow is president and chief executive officer for Insitu, Inc. He is responsible for leading the more than 800 employees at Insitu, a pioneer in the design, development and manufacture of high-performance, low-cost unmanned aircraft systems. Those systems are used for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance in military and commercial applications.
Prior to his role at Insitu, Morrow led Boeing's long-range weapons programs as director of Stand-off Strike, serving the U.S. Department of Defense and 29 international customers. His portfolio of programs included the U.S. Navy's Harpoon and SLAM ER missiles, the U.S. Air Force's Air Launched Cruise Missile, and also Boeing's portion of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense program. Morrow joined Boeing in 2002, overseeing the strategy and development of major weapons programs.
He previously served a distinguished 26 years with the U.S. Navy, as a naval flight officer, an aerospace engineering duty officer and, finally, as program manager for the Tomahawk. In that last role, Morrow led the $500 million Tactical Tomahawk development program and the Tomahawk Block III recertification and remanufacture program. He also served at one time as director of Air Anti-Submarine Warfare Programs for the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research Development and Acquisition) and deputy program manager for the P-3C Orion Update III program.
Morrow is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he received a Bachelor of Science, majoring in electrical engineering. He also attended the Naval Post-graduate School in Monterey, California, where he earned a Master of Science in aeronautical engineering. Morrow is certified by the Department of Defense as a Level III Program Manager and is a graduate of both the Advanced and Executive Program Manager's Course at the Defense Systems Management College.
