UAS Basic Operator's Course
The UAS Basic Operator course is designed to prepare people with no aviation or piloting experience to successfully operate Insitu’s unmanned aircraft system. New operators learn the nuts-and-bolts of our system through a combination of academic study, simulator use, basic maintenance training, and hands-on flight training.
This course runs approximately 8 weeks and has four general areas of study:

| The basic academics portion of the training program focuses on a range of topics, including:

| | • S-VEST (ScanEagle Video Exploitation System |
| | • Forward Ground Control Station |
| | • Forward Eyes |
| Simulator Training
|
| | Simulator training provides students a chance to practice operating the various software programs and hardware components of the UAV in a simulated environment.

| Maintainance Training
|
| | Maintenance training focuses on troubleshooting and general maintenance of the aircraft. |
| Flights
|
| | The flying portion of the training program will allow students the opportunity to operate the UA at Insitu’s flight training facility. Evaluations |
| Students should be prepared for simulator, maintenance and flight
evaluations as well as a proctored written exam, similar in style to an
FAA written exam, that is comprised of topics covered throughout
academic and simulator training.

Course content is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and may not be exported, released, or disclosed to foreign nationals inside or outside the United States without export authorization as required by the U.S. Department of State. All participants in Insitu training courses must be eligible under US export regulations.
