Restore Communications Infrastructure
Keep Support Teams in Touch
Earthquakes, fires, floods—these events have the power to take down communications infrastructure. Insitu systems can restore it.
- Use Insitu aircraft to relay communications signals.
- Base disaster support operations on land or offshore.
Insitu, with University of North Dakota, conducts aerial flood plain surveillance of the Red River along the North Dakota/Minnesota border using the ScanEagle UAS. ScanEagle ISR data is used to monitor the way the river floods and recedes. (March 2010)
ScanEagle conducts damage assessment and aids in relief efforts as part of U.S. Northern Command, Joint Task Force Alaska’s Arctic Edge 2010 earthquake scenario training exercise at the University of Alaska’s Poker Flat Research Range. (April 2010)
